Office Manager
We are looking for an organised, proactive and digitally confident Office Manager to support the smooth running of our systems, communications, capacity building programs and advocacy reach.

What you’ll be doing
- Managing day‑to‑day office operations, records, correspondence and meeting logistics.
- Supporting finance processes including accounts, purchase orders and budget tracking.
- Maintaining databases, digital systems and document management.
- Using AI‑enabled tools to improve workflows, reporting and communications.
- Preparing agendas, minutes, briefing papers and meeting packs.
- Assisting with website updates, newsletters, social media and digital content.
- Assisting with project coordination and stakeholder engagement.
- Providing excellent customer service to member councils and partners.
What you’ll bring

Desirable
- Experience in office administration, business support or operations
- Experience working with a variety of stakeholder groups
- Experience preparing website content, preferably WordPress
Remuneration
This role is offered with a total annual remuneration package of $77,005.87 (pro-rata for 3 days), inclusive of superannuation, phone and internet allowances to support flexible work arrangements.

Volunteer Opportunities
Environmental Science/Management Volunteer
Our work relies on the commitment of individuals passionate about our coastal and estuarine environment who volunteer their time and skills.
Current students and graduates who have studied a degree related to environmental or marine science, environmental management, environmental law or sustainability are encouraged to apply for our volunteer program. Student graduate volunteers:
- need to have, or be in the process of completing, a relevant degree; and
- must be able to provide a CV and academic transcript
If you fulfil the above criteria and are interested in being a volunteer with the SCCG, please fill out this form. You will then be placed into our register of potential volunteers. Media Volunteer
The SCCG are seeking media and communications volunteers to create engaging content for SCCG’s social media presence, including keeping social media channels updated and brand-focused, developing and promoting the Coastal Currents newsletter.
Responsibilities:
- Help create and maintain a social media plan
- Use social media to promote the activities and achievements of the SCCG
- Keeping our social media channels updated on a frequent basis
- Develop and manage content for our website and social media, such as Instagram, Facebook & Linkedin
- Develop and disseminate information via the Coastal Currents newsletter on a quarterly basis
- Take part in monthly teleconference meetings with committee members
- Track the effectiveness of our social media work and recommend ways forward
