As a component of the Sydney Coastal Councils Group ‘Sydney’s Salty Communities Program’, SCCG engaged CSIRO to prepare the Climate Ready Tool to assist councils in designing and managing biodiversity projects in the face of climate change.
To accompany the Tool a Business Case was developed using Waverley Council and its East Coast Banksia Scrub as an example of how the tool can be applied to a real life biodiversity management situation.
A series of factsheets were developed under the Sydney’s Salty Communities Program including;

- Adaptation and the climate ready tool

- Planning for climate change adaptation
- Fox management in southern sydney
The Report entitled ‘ The Effects of Beach Scraping on the Infauna of New Brighton Beach Northern NSW’, was prepared for Byron Shire Council in 2011 by Stephen D.A. Smith, Matthew A. Harrison and Jennifer Rowland, National Marine Science Centre, Southern Cross University.
Niche Environment and Heritage developed the Mosman Intertidal Monitoring Plan in 2016 on behalf of Mosman Council, as a component of the Sydney Coastal councils Group’s Sydney Salty Communities Program funded through the Australian Government.
Recreational Fishing Guide, developed by NSW DPI Fisheries, including important information and regulations for Sydney Harbour and Northern Beaches.
