This is a rare opportunity to join Australia’s leading coastal scientist, Professor Bruce Thom as he uncovers the secrets of Sydney’s coast as you stroll along the coastal walkway between Coogee Beach and Lurline Bay.
The tour starts at Coogee Surf Lifesaving Club, founded in 1907 and will take you along the popular eastern beaches Coastal Walkway to Ivor Rowe Rockpool.
Be prepared to go off-track while learning about the geological wonders of the area and finding out about the relationship between Sydney’s beaches and Hawkesbury Sandstone and learning some fascinating social and environmental history on the way.
