Get acquainted with the new ocean species hitting our shores this summer!

With playful names like, Decantus excutio, Tobaccus ubiquitous and Surplus slurpus, these synthetic ‘species’ washed up on our beaches displayed in cylindrical tubes, engage our hearts and minds in a meaningful and memorable way in learning about the threats to the health of our oceans.

Hosted by the Ocean Action Pod, you’ll find out, what single use plastic is on its way out, what still needs to go and what we can do to help our oceans stay healthy by becoming an Everyday Ocean Action Hero!

Meet at Maroubra Beach between Pavillion and the Surf Lifesaving Club
