Description: As part of the Summerama Festivities Northern Beaches Council will be hosting ‘Science of the Surf’ on 25th of January ‘Science of the Surf’ is a multi-award winning presentation on beach processes delivered by Dr Rob Brander, Australia’s best known surf scientist. Nicknamed “Dr Rip” by the Bondi Lifeguards Dr Brander has been fascinating people with his insight into the way our beaches work for a number of years. This presentation is for everyone who loves and is interested in the beach. The talk will run for approximately one hour with additional time for questions. If conditions permit the talk will also involve a rip current demonstration using purple dye. This activity is suitable for adults and children 8 years and above. Bring along the family and lean how to stay safe this summer!
